1. License Conditions for ISPs and Technology Partners
Using the white list is dependent on signing the license agreement. The agreement, for instance, provides that the internet service provider must use the white list in such a manner that only the user may impede delivery by setting up filters to not receive emails from bulk mailers who are on the white list.
The service is free of charge to ISPs and Technology Partners.
2. Conditions for Bulk Mailers
Conditions of Participation for Bulk Mailers
This agreement regulates the conditions for participation to the project for bulk mailers. The bulk mailer agrees, among other things, to fulfil the admission criteria and to comply with the rules of procedure.
Admission Criteria for Bulk Mailers
This document deals with the required and recommended admission criteria for the admission to the central white list; these criteria are the result of extensive consultations with Internet Service Providers and should suffice for most providers’ internal admission criteria, which is crucial for the acceptability of the project.
Rules of Procedure
The rules of procedure regulate how to deal with complaints against bulk mailers who are listed on the central white list. Generally, the complaints are processed through eco’s hotline and more severe violations are handled by a complaints committee. Sanctions are temporary and permanent exclusions from the list.
This document contains the registration fees and continuous dues according to business size as well as payment methods. The service is free of charge to Internet Service Providers. Bulk Mailers who have memberships with DDV, DMVÖ, BVDW or eco receive a discount.
